WHITE PAPER

Based on the needs analysis realized in 2020, responding farmers, landowners and other persons involved in agricultural production pointed out the need to understand the specific legislations, rules and obligations. To address this need, we created the White Paper as a crucial first step.

Our goal with this document is to provide an in-depth analysis of the current state of short food supply chains and farm-to-fork production strategies in our partner countries, with a particular focus on the legislative and regulatory frameworks that govern these activities. By doing so, we aim to support farmers in their efforts to develop and expand short food supply chains.

The White Paper is divided into 5 parts:

• Transnational version, which summarises the data collected in each partner country, complemented by information on current challenges and needs to support farm processes and farm-to-fork strategies in Europe.
• National versions providing more detailed information on the current situation of short food chains and production strategies farm-to-fork in agriculture in the Czech Republic, Italy, Germany and Spain.
