The document will inform the public about the national legislation and current challenges and needs to\u00a0<strong>support on-farm processing and farm-to-fork strategies in Europe<\/strong>. Developed by Verein fuer Landliche Struktuforschung from Germany (Ifls), the white paper will soon be released!<\/p>\n<p>Looking for a spoiler? The chapter about the European situation highlighted the need to incentivize\u00a0<strong>social and digital innovation<\/strong>, support the\u00a0<strong>collaboration of farmers<\/strong>\u00a0with other food chain actors and direct public intervention to\u00a0<strong>small farms and young farmers<\/strong>. It is based on three expert interviews: Jeroen Candel, Associate Professor at Wageningen University and Research, Pasquale Di Rubbo, Policy Analyst at the European Commission (DG AGRI), Yael Pantzer, Policy Officer at Slow Food.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, ONFARM partners started to collect case studies: examples from all over Europe of farmers already implementing on-farm processing and direct selling.
